How to Remove Stains from Wood Floors

Sometimes your wood floor may become stained. Some types of stains will be easy to remove from your wood floor, and some will not be.

The first task is to determine what sort of stain it is. White stains generally mean that water was gotten into the finish. A black mark means that the liquid has penetrated the wood. To remove a white stains, take a fine piece of steel wool, soak it in lemon oil, and gently rub the stain

Black rings won’t be as easy to remove, since they exist in the wood beneath the stain. The best option may be to strip off the finish, sand the stain away, and reseal that part of the floor.

Luckily, ElmWood Flooring has experience dealing with stains on wood floors, and can help you maintain and improve your floors. Call us today for a free quote!
