Types and Styles of Laminate Flooring

When you’re choosing a laminate flooring, there are several options to consider.

First, take note of the AC rating. The AC rating, which is on a scale from one to five, represents the laminate’s durability when it comes to natural wear and tear. A laminate that has an AC rating of five is the most durable laminate and should be used in areas with the highest traffic, such as high-traffic commercial areas.

Another factor to consider is the finish of your floor. A smooth finish is a plain finish, similar to a varnish on hardwood. You could choose an embossed or textured finish. Another choice is distressed or hand-scraped laminate, which gives an antique feel to your floors.

You should also take the thickness of the laminate into consideration. A thicker laminate can be better and more durable.
